I've been using Windows since 3.1, and this version of Wasteland is the first program I've ever used that completely defeats my ability to interact with Windows. Alt-Tab, the Windows key, and CTRL-ALT-DEL/CTRL-SHIFT-ESC are completely useless while Wasteland is running.

This is a serious problem during unwinnable combats. (S) doesn't let you quit the game during combat, and with no ability to get back to Windows to terminate the program you have to button-mash until your party dies. Sometimes, even that's impossible when the enemy can't quite get one of your characters down to SER, and then you have to cold boot the computer.

Am I missing a quick fix, is this a known issue, etc.? Technically it might stem from a legacy issue, but being able to Alt-Tab out to Windows would be an acceptable workaround.

Alt-F4 quits the program instantly.
What version of Windows are you using? For me, ALT+ENTER will change from full-screen to window mode and then CTRL+ALT+DEL will allow me to open task manager which gives me control of the mouse again and I can close the window then.

But yes, ALT+F4 is a common exit signal for most games. It was a huge time saver in Assassin's Creed!
I am a blithering idiot; Alt-F4 works just fine. Thanks!

Edit: ...As does Alt-Enter. :) I'm on XP, until the New Year anyway.

If you ALT+Enter to windowed mode, you can get control of the mouse by hitting CTRL+ALT+TAB instead of just ALT+TAB.
