I'd be interested if I could play with Steam users

They might go with some sort of "direct connect" for co-op, like Larian games or Wildermyth. That would make crossplay with Steam possible, given the Steam version is updated with the same function.

I hope it is an implementation like Larian has done, in that it supports LAN. LAN is so much better and reliable with local machines. But I fear it just being a service integration with GOG Galaxy and of course steam's launcher. :/ One can hope, this game is RIGHT up my alley but I'm holding out for LAN to hopefully coop with my dad.

It's actually out since somewhen in September. But for whatever reason the devs don't update the GOG shop site...
