I play turn based games because I dislike the stress of accelerated time (a.k.a. "real time", even though I've never had a day pass in less than an hour in real life) and I'm not great at hand/eye coordination. Here are a few suggestions that might make life easier for players such as myself:
- Allow selections to be done while paused. It's not trivial to get the game to understand that I intend to click on a pile of lumber rather than somewhere nearby when the map keeps moving. Similarly, it would be helpful if the game allowed you to pause the game, look around, select a destination, and unpause to get the party moving (like Battle Brothers works).
- Introduce an option to allow the player to enable auto pause whenever the party stops on the world map (similar to how Battle Brothers work). The player could then manually disable the pause if there's a desire to just sit and wait for something (or use the suggested abilities above to select a new destination before unpausing).
- Introduce an option to have the selected character perform the mini games, rather than the player. After all, RPGs should be about character skills, not player ones. Better character skills = better chance of the character to succeed. The easiest way is probably to skip the games and just present the results, although animations would be nicer.

And then something that's really a bug:
- Fix pathfinding. It's really annoying to select a target location or a resource only for the party to just walk up to some terrain feature the apparently is unpassable (there is no obvious way to tell in many borderline cases as far as I've seen) and the just stop (with the clock running), rather than walk the short distance around the outcropping to the destination.
