Darklords Rising comes with its own font, that is used by the game, but the GOG version won't install it automatically for you.

You can find it in you GOG/Warlords 3/FONTS folder.

Double-click UNICAL.TTF, and Windows should handle the rest.

Now the in-game text will look like it should.

Thanks! It looks more like it did in the past, at any rate. Maybe not perfectly scaled but oh well.
