I've been attempting to find out if it's still possible to do turn based multiplayer that is not "direct play"/real time so that way if one person has to leave or all human players close out of the program we can pick up where we left off. I know that back in the day there was a way to send turns via email letting the next person know that it was their move. Thoughts/answers?

When you launch "single" play and choose to play scenario, there is on the right side (bottom part) an option "email" - if you choose it, after confirming the choice for players, you have to input here the emails of human players.

Would that be the option you're looking for?
