Does this run on Windows 10 ok?

If you have, as I do, the original CD-ROM release, is the version here necessary to get it to run on modern kit?

I was able to get the original version of DLR to run on Windows 10.

You need to run the game with the WINCURSOR switch like this: "C:\Warlords3\Darklord.exe" -WINCURSOR

This switch makes the game use black and white cursors but without it the game would freeze after a few minutes.

A problem that I was not able to fix with the original version is that the map editor would run with weird inverted colors.


In the version GOG sells both of these problems are fixed.

So I've read a lot of reviews about W3 crashing all the time on Win 10, was it fixed or it still problem with random users?

I have put an 1hr and a half into the game so far, having finally gotten around to playing it, and suffered no crashes. If it did, they may have fixed it.
