I started play as Fey. At level 2 i chose a rogue as a profession. At level 3 i can choose only thief and bard. Why merchant and assassin are not available?!

The Merchant and Assassins aren't valid professions for a Fey hero. Fey professions are Rogue (Thief, Assassin), Priest (Healer), and Wizard (Archmage, Alchemist, Illusionist, and Ice Mage).

On the third panel of the reference card pdf is a list of heroes, professions, and which race can be that profession.
