Hello everyone, I play Warlords Battlecry II from time to time, but for the first time now I encountered a strange bug in the campaign. My hero is a minotaur barbarian, and I had no problems in the game. I started a new map (Ragnar's Pass), everything was going as usual, but then I met the high elf hero and pointed the cursor at her, after that the game crashed. I tried a couple more times - and each time the game crashed. I decided to kill her without pointing the cursor - but she turned out to be ridiculously strong, she killed my level 9 hero and two units from the retinue in a couple of blows. It feels like the enemy hero has broken down, but I can't even look at his stats. Has anyone ever had this? What were you doing? I can of course just resign and start over, but it's not a fact that it won't happen again. Thanks for your replies in advance.

I don't recognize the bug.

Is this in WB2, or WB3? A quick google search turned up something about Ragnar's Pass in WB3, which I haven't played.

In WB2, one map of the campaign is Mountains of Ragnar, where the reward is Elven Hunters. The High Elf hero in that map is absurdly overpowered, and she has a number of things on the map protecting her base as well. It is not surprising if she wiped your hero, army, and base all by herself. You should be able to at least look at her stats, though.

If its the hero/map I'm thinking about, then this thread has some commentary for winning the map:

Oh, I'm sorry, I really mixed up the names of the maps with the third Battlecry. Yes, these are Mountains of Ragnar. In fact, everything is as you have said and as it is written in that thread, the only difference is that my game crashes, even if you just hover the cursor over her without even clicking. Apparently her stats are too much for the game engine=). Well, thank you for the answer, I will try your advice, maybe I can win without crashing the game.

This map is rough enough because of that one hero that you might consider just skipping it. See if other maps have a similar problem. Either way, good luck!

The problem was solved after I resigned and started again.. Instead of OP hero, the elves had a regular level 12 hero.. Apparently, such OP hero in this mission is a bug of the game. This bug also crashed the game.
