I'm just wondering which game is better. I may just get both but I already have a long list of games in my cart and many I have yet to finish on my pc so I would rather focus my attention on the best of the two. Also I play on a LCD display and I noticed theres not really a way to change resolutions on WBC 3 so that has me leaning towards spellforce right now.

They are so very different that it is hard to advise. I enjoyed spellforce, but felt it left little replayability. WBC3 definitely does have that. As for the LCD side of things, WBC graphics are not important, they are crude, that's not the attraction of the game.

I'd personally advise as such: if you are a RTS fan that likes a bit of RPG in your game, WBC3. If you are an RPG fan that likes a bit of strategy in your game Spellforce. I enjoyed both.

If you're still undecided:

WBC has a very weak story, spellforce has a very defined story (though I don't like the end).
WBC is more accesible for a quick game, spellforce is more of a quest.
WBC has more variety and replayability, spellforce has very little reason to pick it up again.
WBC has harder strategy, it's unlikely you'll have any trouble with anything in spellforce.
WBC is much more unit focussed. Hero is a plus. Spellforce is hero focussed, without the heroes you wont win.

Hope that helps.
thanks for the input, i think I may go for spell force after trying the demo. I thought it was good. although the demo for WBC 3 was also good and had nice 2d artwork. lol i cant really decide still...i may just have to get both. >.<

my concern with the graphics in WBC 3 was that it would look blurred but the demo was alright so...i just like to be able to tweak the game for widescreen is all.
