I tried something different than usual.

An undead druid that has necromancy, leading the Fey.

So I'm an evil hippy undead guy that loves nature. :P

It turns out to be so strong (at least against the AI). I get unicorns that heal my own undead units, treants that are pretty strong, some other nature stuff, still keep my necromancy skill since I'm undead and soon I'll be able to get elementals too after I stop putting points in necromancy.

So I'm just going around owning the AI with this character and always fully healed units lol. And if I get mana regen research, it gets much stronger.

Just seemed like such a strange race/class combo cause I'm an evil peace and nature loving hippy undead guy :P But it turned out to be so much fun.
Strangest one I've played has so far been Plaguelord Paladin. It's a reasonably strong combo when the hero hits level 30+, where Leech essentially means the hero can kill basic and some advanced units for free. It's also particularly brutal when Invigorate is combined with Hydras, exponentially increasing damage output. I've seen that sort of power topple bases just with the starting pick of Hydras before. Prior to Leech it isn't as great though.

Second weirdest one I've used would have to be the Dwarf Elementalist. It's great seeing all those dwarves go drunk and get healed with Cauterize whilst also having some of the better Rune Magic spells like Earthpower.

Oh yeah, that reminds me... I forgot one hero I made. An Undead Paladin

Heal huge groups of undead, hates himself (damage to undead/evil), summons huge hordes of undead...pretty good at combat (especially against evil). Don't get leech, but necromancy is pretty darn good (though I think plaguelords get summoning which is good too). The main thing is being able to just heal your own undead units and yourself lol. But I guess its almost the same as plaguelords, but instead of leech its necromancy. Which I kinda prefer necromancy. Get the mana regen research endgame and maybe some mana regen items and you are good to go :D

That was actually pretty random (an undead paladin who hates himself, and I named him Arthas Menethil lol) and ended up being a bit too OP against the AI lol. He was literally invincible against everything and outhealed anything AI threw at him. Then summoning hordes of undead just added to it lol.

(edit: Oh, but undead DO get vampirism, which gives health instead of mana. Which actually makes this a really weirdly OP combo since...undead...paladin...hates self...heals undead+self...xD)

I also tried Dwarf Elementalist one. That one is a lot of fun to play! This isn't a topic about OP combos. I just thought Undead Paladin was the weirdest thing and it was really OP when I played one. I don't play one anymore lol. But Dwarf elementalist is pretty balanced (so far anyway) and a lot of fun spells and what not. It does seem like a rather strange combo, but it works.
