It makes the game pretty useless ...

There is no true save option for the game. In regards to the campaign, it should remember where your hero was next time you select them. (It saves after each mission/turn)
You can save mid-battle, but if you use the hero in any other mode, the save becomes unavailable, and the mission must be restarted. This is why the "LOAD GAME" option is normally greyed out.
Or is the game not remembering played heroes, and forcing you to create a new one each time you start it?

There is a saved games folder ( ... my doc / wb3/ saved games ) but how to make them run ?
I've never seen a game with a saving system as bad as that, it's incredible ...

I disabled f....g UAC in f....g Vista and the problem is solved.
