I hear at launch, it was unstable and full of bugs. How's the state of the game now?

It's an owlcat game. It will always have bugs. Also if you plan to get the DLC this summer you may want to wait for that because I think it integrates in to the main campaign.

Nevermind, update 1.2 came out and caused a bunch of conflicts with me old saves.

It's been a good year since release and this game received a patch, be it big or small, last month. So I'd like to prompt a renewed answer, if I may. Has anyone who has played recently wiling to pass comment on its current condition?

It's grate after the patches. Much have been improved and changed for the better.
