.... but anyone here think Slitherine are one of the worst "scumbag developers" in the entire gaming scene?

I mean:-

- overpriced games that are actually barely more than just bare minimum featured "demos".....
- .... to which you fix by spending £1000s on DOZENS of low content DLCs!
- even then they're still not "that good", and full of bugs
- terrible customer support (usually that's just "we have your money now mug, GFY!")
Yes I have had horrendous experiences with the devs / customer support for the DIRE "Command : Modern Air and Naval Operations" over on Steam. Long live HermanHum! (Now that'll rattle their cages!)
- anyone remember the stunts they pulled with Panzercorps and it's 20,000 DLCs a few years back?

IMO GOG should ban Slitherine altogether. They are anathema to GOG's principles. Wait, GOG's principles? What am I saying? They've been missing since 2017!

Well that's my opinion and it's not just to flame either, I really do loathe and detest Slitherine, their revolting business practices and overall corporate attitude. But protesting all this in "Slitherine's own backyard", full of their devs and shills, well it's going to go down like a lead balloon huh :)

No. We already lack enough developers, publishers and games on GOG. Make it available and let each one decide for themselves if they want to buy it or not.

I don't really like this trend in the last years, not only on GOG, but everywhere on society, of "I don't like something, so nobody else can enjoy it".

"I don't like something so nobody else can enjoy it" has been with us since civilization first begun. It is not a new trend!

Yes, this is bad business practice, but banning them is absurd. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Simple.
I have no idea for their other games that may or may not be money grabbing scheme as i don't have any but in the case of Gladius i strongly disagree on "it's just a demo and you need to buy dlc to make it a game" .

Without DLC Gladius is a pretty complete wargame on its own, just look at the default content :
- 4 different factions with their specific gameplay/different research tree and buildings, each of them have at least 15 different units they can deploy.

Basically the same as good old Dawn of War had before the expansions, and at the time pre-expansiuon it was a very acclaimed and not considered "a demo you need to buy DLC to make it a game"

Certainly some the DLC brings more units to that count and some DLC are actual expansion-level as they bring whole new factions, but honestly you can't say that the base Gladius game is a demo that needs DLC to make it complete.
