It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm sorry that you all got this for free and it does not work.
The thing that made the game work for me is to place it into the C:/ drive directly, its a old game and it seams to need it.
If that does not solve your issue try looking here: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Warhammer_40,000:_Chaos_Gate

Have a good day, and please be kind and love eachother.

You don't need to even do that. It seems like some script or something expects game to be on C: so registery path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\RandomGames\WH40K\1.0 was empty (which was mostlikely causing game not start). But there is a workaround:

You just need run "regs_n.cmd" from game folder. That sets game paths etc. correctly under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\RandomGames\WH40K\1.0. Now game at least seems to start.

PS. If you are wary of running random scripts on your computer (and you should) you can just check context of regs_n.cmd with any text editor.

EDIT:

I took a slightly longer look into problem and I think that "goggame-1433928487.script", that should be ran during install, has a bug. It does execute "regs_n.cmd" but order seems to be wrong. "regs_n.cmd" should be executed after "setRegistery" actions as they have argument "deleteSubkeys": true.

So, my theory is that during install, "regs_n.cmd" is ran but then "setRegistry" action for "SOFTWARE\\RandomGames\\WH40K" clears this register.. Install should set this register first, and then set values with "regs_n.cmd." Now this is vice-versa.

Of cource, this is all assuming that actions in "goggame-1433928487.script" are executed from up to down...

You should let GOG know via the support contact option.

Maybe they will update the installer with your fix.
I installed to my usb dtive root folder all by itself G\Chaos gate This was the only thing that worked on my Win 10 21H2
If I put it in the gog folder in wouldn't launch.
