I have win 10 but the game starts without problems, I can watch cutscenes, read the mission briefing, equip my marines, change the gameoptions. No problems until I want to play a mission. Everytime I start a mission or load an old missionsave (I played on my broken laptop (win7) before without problems) the game crashes to desktop just after the loadingscreen.

Is there a fix? or is this a win 10 problem? I tried compatibility mode, starting as admin but it doesn't help.

I'm working on Windows 7 I have the exact same problem. Also there are weird sound glitches where I set the volume, but the game does not seem to remember the settings.

Bumping on this topic. I'm having the same problem too. Can't seem to initiate the first campaign mission without CTD. Same goes with the volume slider defaulting back.

*Managed to find a solution. Make sure to install Chaos gate on a folder at the C:\ drive, NOT in Program Files (x86). As an example: C:\GOG Games\ChaosGate\

I have the same problem under Windows 8.1, it´s installed at this path, doesn´t help. Game crashs when you want to load a savegame :(

I'm running the game almost perfectly with Windows 10, in terms of performance everything is great, but I have experienced crash to desktop and black screen when starting a campaign or loading a save - on some occasions. But most the time it works fine. I just used to tweaks from this video here

But i only did the Second Steps Stuttering Fix part, the rest was not necessary. I also did not install to the program files (x86) directory but just to e:\GOG\ChaosGate. I installed via GOG galaxy.
