Many people seem to have crashes on starting missions, not me. Game works fine until I complete a mission. After reviewing soldier experience and promotions - clicking proceed will freeze the game until I kill the application. The same thing happens if I ever try to load a save from inside a mission - though loading from the menu works.

It seems like the issues could be related in cause, if not effect - but my game is already installed near the root. Am I the only one experiencing this issue?
