For me at least, the big appeal for games on GOG was never so much the DRM free but that old games could be played again off the bat with no fiddling around or tweaking stuff.
And it appears that windows 10 users can fix the issues but only through getting into the registry edit. If it is fixable why can't they just release a patch? It would be good for the customer and good for gog as there is a legion of 40k fans, many of them have just played sanctus reach and want to play the games that inspired it, and you have potential customers there.
