Hello!
I have rewritten almost all the War1 *.exe into modern language (C#). It's still not 100% finished, but almost playable.
You can get Windows or Android version here:
(cannot put a link)
zelya(dot)war2(dot)ru
The play you need to have all the game files. GOG version should be fully compatible. Floppy version (~9Mb) will not work.
For Windows version just put WinWar.exe into your game folder. Or select Warcraft folder after first execution.
For Android you need to have WARCRAFT (uppercase) folder in your Downloads with all the files in it. YOU NEED NO TO COPY CD IMAGE (the biggest file).
Also the game supports multiplayer with original version under DosBox (like in video)

There are some notes about Android version control:
1. Double tap - the same type units selection (up to 4)
2. Long press - get into "selection mode" with frame
3. Move - for map scroll
Known issues:
1. Wrong scores calculation
2. Crash in campaign ending movie
3. Some minor differences still can be present during multiplayer game vs Dos version. Usually this cannot be seen immediately but will cause synchronization issues and game will crash later.
