Not sure what's going on, WC2 is perfect, but this game is just too dark to see anthing other than units, buildings... the dos setup only configures sound, in game options don't help either... Is there a way to make Nvidia do an override and make it brighter? My monitor doesn't need adjustment, everything else is okay..
Sorry to hear that, it's looking fine for me. What OS are you running it on? I'm on Windows 10, with AMD gpu.
By experience, I would say that's a resolution issue : dosbox is probably forcing a downscaling of your monitor native resolution so that it have probably to display with a barely compatible refresh rate.

By example : your monitor native resolution is 1920*1080 at 60Hz. Making it display a 1600*1200 may force it to work at 30Hz, and that often implie a pretty darker screen. And for old low resolutions (320*240, 640*480), the refresh rate is often weird and like going half his native rate, making a dark display. (and sometimes a cropped picture)

Dosbox have all the tools to set different display methods *and* resolutions that can make you just force dosbox to display an upscaled "old picture" on your native display resolution. (don't hesitate to try several display modes until you find the one which work with your specific computer configuration, video card, drivers and monitor)

You'll eventualy have to take care to maintain a 4:3 aspect ratio if you want the native aspect of the game though, or strech it to our common 16:9 or 16:10 monitor, but with a stretched display.
