yes it does, "run multiplayer game" there are two options, one for host, second for person who will connect to your pc via IP

so without any other programs? what about lags comparing to classic game?

Lags can be problem, I played few times without lags

so it worths it to buy if i wanna play on distance?

Isnt this game do not support online game at literally online? You need 3rd party solutions to be on one virtual LAN network or connect two PCs really be in one LAN network.
Also emulate DOS-IPX network in DosBox.

Depends on your connection and who you are playing with. If you playing with someone in your country your speed will be good, but if you playing with another continent can be a problem. You can also see what QWEDDYZ posted.
