I tried to install Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and I get the message: Installation Failed: Disk Access Problem

My system is Win7 and wanted to install with GOG Galaxy 1.2.54.

Any ideas what I could do? I don't know if it's a DOSBOX-Problem or something with the game itself.

Usually it results from antivirus softwares.

Thank you very much. I disabled the antivirus software and the game is installed now. :)

I have win 10 and am getting the same error. Only using win defender, not sure that it would prohibit the installation. Any others having this issue?

i'm having the same issue...no virus software installed
I uninstalled my GOG Galaxy client and deleted the folders that remained at the installation location.
I then redownloaded and installed the Galaxy Client. Downloaded and installed both Warcraft 1 and 2 without issues.
For me i think it was a permission issue with the install folders
I also had this problem.

Other games (including Warcraft 2) installed perfectly fine, and I was running Win 10 with only built-in antivirus.

Running Galaxy as an administrator didn't fix the issue.

Deleting installation and reattempting also didn't fix the issue.

Changing the installation location (from G:\ to C:\) did fix it.

Possibly because warcraft 1 is too old to understand drive locations as far as G, possibly just because I changed the installation location.
DosBox - virtual DOS machine. Not matter what specs and how many drives you have.

Thank you that did the fix - Changing the installation location (from G:\ to C:\) did fix it.
This is far from solved. I have this error and i only have Win Defender and i never tried to install in other volume than C:/
