Hey all so i just bought the game and spent the last couple hours trying to get the game to run. it is a real easy work around, set the game to run in comparability mode fore windows 8. to do this from galaxy go to MORE>MANAGE INSTALLATION>SHOW FOLDER. scroll down to the Warcraft II BNE file (classic) and the Warcraft II BNE_dx file (gog enhanced version) right click and select properties then the comparability tab then check run in comparability mode for and select windows 8 from the list. I hope this helps others having problems running the game.

I also had to disable full-screen optimization to get it to load save games after i exited the game. this is done on the same screen as setting windows 8 compatibility.

listen guys ... come join us at en.war2.ru download the 4.3 version and launch the ploader click battlenet an u will see the War2.ru server on ur list there is many of us still playing this game to this day!! its veryyy fun come join us Warbux sent ya .. if u neeed any help msg me

it runs perfectly in windows 10.
my disc version installs and plays without issues.

I cant get that version to work either. I'm running windows ten yet compatibility mode, not, nothing works. It glitches on startup over and over and over again. I don't know what to do anymore :/

I've tried restricting the resolution, going down to one monitor, all the compatibility options, bleh.
