It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

BioOrc: Ye adding DEP exception may work for Classic version. The other one does not work at all. Was the same with Diablo until they patched.
They are different programs, you need to add separate exceptions for each one.
I have the same issue.
Added to DEP, upgraded nvidia drivers ... nothing helps
Classic version, however, works after the DEP.

denonoon3019: I have found updating to the latest drivers fixing the issue (for Nvidia).

BioOrc: Got newest drivers, doesn't help.
Try the following:

1. Warcraft 2 in Windows Compatibility Mode (I'm Using Windows 8).
2. Make sure that the game is forcing to use your graphics card.

I know and I did.
Works fine on my desktop, but crashes as soon as I move the mouse on my laptop. Both runs the same version of Windows 10, 1809. It only happens if I move the mouse it seems and it either crashes to desktop or the screen goes black. Classic version works fine.

Update: After a restart it seems to work again, maybe it was just the new drivers wanting a reboot.

War2 will not work with DEP (which is in Windows 10). The easiest fix for this is to use a War2 client that has already been patched to fix this bug (using the same 2 byte fix that works with Diablo 1). If you download the War2Combat client (version 44), you can use War2 with Dep enabled. It has a ton of other fixes as well. Just search googlie for War2Combat and you'll find it.
