Delete the ddraw.dll in the game folder and then start Warcraft II BNE.exe in the game folder as the launcher does not work on Windows XP. It has the same problem as Diablo 1 classic version and ddraw.dll. When the ddraw.dll is deleted it seems to fallback on Windows XP system ddraw.dll. After inserting a cd-key via the folder "KeyChanger.exe" the classic version seems to work fine on battle.net on Windows XP.

Now if somebody could confirm warcraft 1 working on win xp since i kinda knew it should work with warcraft 2 having the classic edition.
Warcraft 1 is updated for modern computers so i don't know if it works on win xp.

GOG's WarCraft 1 is a classic DOS game with DOSBox added, so it should work fine. If it's not, try it with a stand alone DOSBox version. I played original on Linux not so long ago.
