Hi! I'd like to figure out how to setup my video settings to be able to see as much of the map as possible (improve field of view) with the understanding that this is a super old game with no zoom. I'd prefer not to do stretch fullscreen. I have widescreen monitor . How do you have your settings?

Not OP, but had the same issue. Is there any reason I shouldn't keep the settings as your image shows? I wasn't sure if I should put the settings back when not playing warcraft 2 or just leave it as is so I don't have to worry when playing war2? I wasn't sure if I will deal with issues in other programs.

I'll take half the credit on that one since I made the picture and share it with the discord. :P
I've done the Control Panel tweaks but don't see any difference in the game. It either shows black bars or it's stretched.
There is no way for war2 to display anything other than 640x480. The only thing you can do with it is stretch it (which I like) or play it with black bars on the side where it looks very odd to anyone who has never seen the original game on a non-widescreen monitor. The only thing you can do is put it in a window but the only version of War2 that supports that is the War2Combat version that Terror-Kahn mentioned. It's far superior to the GoG version as far as DDraw fixes/resolutions are concerned and pretty much every other aspect as well.
