I have the same problem. I'm trying to find a permanent fix for it without submitting a ticket.
As far as can tell, the problem is caused by having too many save games in the save folder. The game limit is 100 total or it will crash.
I have been deleting some of my older save files from the save folder in windows explorer. After this, the game runs perfect, including the saves that I kept.
The problem comes in when the game restores the deleted saves from the cloud. I should have deleted them in-game one at a time. If I had I would not be having this problem.
The quick fix is to go open up the save game folder in windows explorer and delete enough saves to get you under a total of 100. Bad part is that you will probably have to do this constantly.
On the positive side, all of your saves, including you most resent, can be saved and loaded.
I still need to figure out how to get my cloud save to match my current save folder on my computer.
