When I launch it, the screen goes to the Blizzard ad and then it gets stuck there, I hear the music for the menu but it won't get past the Blizzard ad.. and the ad is glitched on top of that!

Note* Non classic version is working fine, but I want to play online.

EDIT: Got it to work by deleting the ddraw.dll file out of the installation directory.

You can install war2combat 4.4 from en.war2.ru site.
It will be 100% compatible with GOG classic, use it's cd-key, let you play on GOG server, ru server and have sufficiently better ddraw.dll with fixes for all windows.

Saw this many time even just for Wc2\D1. And dont understand why this happen for all of you... For me ddraw.dll work perfectly with *Classic* versions of D1 and Wc2 on all GeForce\Radeon\Intel video. Only on Intel video (and Win7 Pro x32) i must run classic game directly from exe (enhanced not work).

Say again - i tested this even on Radeon video, that usually not supported by custom wrappers dll or other files (txt\dat) and other compatibility fixes (eg for some Buka games in Steam).
