I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to make the resolution higher or bigger as its very small and kind of hard to play in the tiny box its currently displayed as

Easiest way is going to be using dxwrapper for you. Drop in the ddraw.dll and tweak the settings in the ini for Dd7to9 ie change the following to and it should work fine.The windowmode element serves to fix the flickering if you switch between tabs for any reason. However I have yet to find a good way to make it release the mouse control properly as yet. So it will snap around sorry. Maybe Elisha (dxwrapper dev) has a better idea how/why.
