Bit of a click-bait title, I know. But seriously any dev who dumps Windows 7 (not to mention non-M$ OSes) support on their games is drastically reducing their games audience. I'm Ubuntu/Win7 user and despite this game looking like a really cool mix of Sting's Baroque and FROM's Dark Souls, I won't buy it because I can't play it.

It really is a shame. I'm sure there are other Win 7 users who feel the same.
I 'm very sorry for you...
I don't want to sound harsh but Microsoft isn't supporting anymore windows 7 since January 2020...
Some emulators aren't compatible with windows 7 anymore too....

maybe it's time to change your OS ?
Since I had pretty much all the windows , it's true, windows 7 was a very good and stable system.....

I stopped using Windows as an actual OS after XP. I only use it as a gaming OS now, which is why I was willing to upgrade to Windows 7 anyways.

Windows 8 is metro...
But Windows 10 is an entirely different subject. I refuse to upgrade my gaming OS to that atrocity. For any reason.

Please name those emulators, btw. There is no way they are open-source if they dropped Windows 7 support. The community wouldn't stand for it.

Anyways, I'm not too upset about not getting to play this game, I have about 450 games I've bought here on GOG that I haven't even played yet. It would just be another one to add to the stack. I'm just pointing out that just because M$ isn't supporting it, doesn't mean it isn't used as a gaming OS still. This game is hardly unique in dropping support either, I'll agree with that too, but I'm not buying the others either.

Food for thought for the devs out there. I am a programmer, so I know that you only have to choose the right libraries.
