It's a platformer game. Its much better to play it on keyboard.

Although there are no instructions for controller support or not.

I made my controller work (Xbox One controller) on Linux by substituting the sdl libraries in VVVVVV/game/x86_64 with these: https://github.com/OutOfOrder/SDL2-Binaries/archive/master.zip
