You'll very likely fail the first time you try the Void.

The main reason you'll fail is because of poor decisions you made that send you into an unwinnable spiral later in the game.

The only caution I'd have about using these patches is that you'll make the later stages of the game too easy for yourself, losing some of the tension intended by the designers.

If one reads a few key pieces of advice before you start playing, you likely wouldn't need the patch, and could gameplay systems would be more compelling.

Of course, regardless of what you do, you'll still experience the core gameplay, which is perfectly married to the aesthetics.

The Void is a beautiful, challenging, poetic, weird, and unique title that deserves to be experienced. A true journey of discovery.

Indeed. I haven't completed it yet so I'll try with the original difficulty for now but once I manage to get at least a third part of the game and notice I've lost or it becomes unbearable I'll restart and pick Medium instead.

I just purchased this from GoG, have read previously that this is a very hard game and since i am just a casual gamer I will give the mods a go.

I notice they are just zip files so I guess you unzip them to the base directory of the game install.

How do the mods work, or what do they do to make the game easier?

Not sure what to look for and after watching a few youtube videos this game looks to be a hard one to follow and I will need all the help I can get to even get into this one.

Brother HP: -25%
Sister colour: changed 3rd and 4th heart
Max predators: -40%
tree recovery time: greatly decreased
crimson, emerald, violet and gold: increased effects while in the hearts
giants hp reduced by 25% and damage dealt by an arbitrary amount
domain damage decreased by roughly 25%
Memory size increased (I hope)

thanks for the reply. Not sure what some of those mean, but I am sure I will find out soon. just one more game to finish before I start. Watching a few you tube videos first to see how this title plays, lokks very diferent.
