Vanster-X: Tried playing for the first time and AVG came up and said the game was a virus I believe and deleted it, any idea what it's talking about and can I just ignore it?
If you use Windows 8 or >, I highly advise you to stick with Microsoft's Defender. Does a great job and is nowhere near as intrusive or invasive in your system, and false positives are few and far between, I've found. When I last tried out AVG I found it glopped up my system and slowed it down dramatically in some cases. I don't have any leaning towards Defender aside from the fact that it's the least intrusive AV program I have ever used and as I mentioned is blessedly free of false positives.
When they "test" AV programs I have yet to see a single such comparison that examines false-positive readings among the AV programs tested, and yet that is one of my main reasons for using Defender--it's lack of them. Defender has caught the few things I've run into--but doesn't slow down my system, either.
It's free, and frankly I feel better letting Microsoft handle the responsibility for the security of Windows since Windows is their baby. Just a suggestion, though--not advocating....;)
