I tried loading this game last night and I couldn't get it to run. It was running in the Task Manager but it never came up. So I killed the process and tried to verify the cache, and everything is fine. Then I remembered I forgot to give it access to the net with a new program I started running that auto blocks all network access to programs until I specifically allow it and once I allowed Victor Vran to access the net the game ran fine.

So does this program require net access to even play now? While I wasn't exactly against their old sign in to their account to use the codes thing, I do draw a line when it comes to not being able to play the game if there is no network access. I just tried it again but instead of blocking the Victor Vran with a third party network monitoring software, I blocked all network access at the firewall this time and VV just crashed instead of just hanging. It brought up the load screen then crashed before the menu came up.

After reading the below error, I am thinking it might be a galaxy error. So maybe a GoG client issue?

The shit Galaxy.dll files should also be considered Beta. What happens if you unplug/disable your network connection and try to run the game (allowing any firewall access)? Presuming that works fine then the Galaxy.dll function may be choking on how your firewall is blocking/dropping/holding the connection.
I couldn't reproduce that with the Windows Firewall or a disconnected cable. What software are you using?
I am using comodo firewall. It's possible the way comodo blocks all traffic could be the cause, I remember that had an issue a while back with some program. Still I generally almost never considered it as being a firewall issue. I also use winprivacy. When winprivacy was blocking this game it just hung with out ever loading. Once I let it through it ran fine though, but the comodo thing block all network access I really didn't expect it to crash.
