I'll just vent here for a bit:

Account creation allows you to use an empty serial number field but doesn't tell you that you won't be able to change that.
The email address is tied to the account and you can't use it again (why?!)

Once you created an invalid account all you get is an error "Connection to server lost" ... really helpful.

But: Victor Vran doesn't have a support page or account management, so basically you have to create another account, after you've learned what you've done wrong in the first place.

Logged in I see 45 people on the server. I guess I know why.

Yeah, I'm going to have to second this. I did the exact same thing. I created an account with my preferred username and e-mail before I even realized I had a unique serial number, it let me do that with no warning or complaint whatsoever, then refused to let me actually connect or add the number or basically do anything useful. So now I have a second account, tied to a username made up specifically for this and an e-mail address that I don't even want to use any more, while my first/preferred account sits there useless.

If the game itself is going to handle online functionality this poorly, could GOG at least throw up a warning somewhere about how to properly activate the game?

Hi, thanks for noting about this we've fixed the issue on the server side and cleared the invalid accounts, so you can try again to register if you haven't already. This happened in the latest update so no other old player accounts should be affected. Sorry about the inconvenience.

You need some account management. What if I need to change my email address?

The Game is really good, but the online account creation is the oppisit. Please add an account management system. For me it's not possible to create an account. I tried all my different email-adresses, no way. I always get the message "bad user".
