When are we going to get the September 11th patch? Are the slow patches a GOG or Haemimont problem? It's stupid, as it ruins the multiplayer.
I bought the game here, as I wanted to support GOG and the DRM-free approach, but can not not notice that Steam gets patches as they are released...

I'm really disapointed as well, I want to support GOG as much as I can because I hate DRMs, but Steam getting updates way ahead of time compared to GOG makes you really think back :( Such a shame...
There will be a new update really soon, also with a Linux version. That's why there's a bit of delay, don't worry.

Thanks for the info but personally I couldn't care less about the Linux version... I just want the latest update that has been available on Steam for these past 4 days... How difficult can it be to just upload the update on your severs GOG?!

While GOG has been lazy sometimes with updates (had to cry out about it on the general forum for anything to happen), the developer also has to upload it to GOG before GOG can do anything about it.

Some developers don't even bother with their GOG versions after a while, and GOG does nothing to chase it up.

I'm not saying these guys are ignoring GOG, hell no. But as Krasimir said, they're just leaving out this small update until the next one that is not far away.

I don't understand this whole wait for another patch thing, that's just crazy... This was not a little hotfix patch, this patch brings new features for god's sake! It's really unacceptable to bring the update to Steam buyers and not GoG buyers. We bought the same game, arguably at the same price, so we should be entitled to have the same updates at the same time! I hate Steam, but this time I'm starting to regret getting this on GoG... :( :( :(
Are the employees of Gog going to take out the patch and DLC Tome ??...
Can we take a Steam patch and apply it on a GOG game...sorry i am new here
I hope we get the patch very quick or this game is the last i will buy on GOG ....

So, no new patch here on GOG, and this is what Mnementh wrote on the Steam forums:

18 Sep @ 3:54pm
Hotfix Sept 18th
Fixed Tome of Souls DLC not working on Linux

And yet, we're still stuck with the old 2.2.1.7 patch.

But, apparently, the problem is on GOG side, they have a QA/testing process which is painstakingly slow, whereas Valve doesn't test at all the patches.

That means:

- On Steam, if a dev comes out with a patch, it will be ready as soon as the upload ends.
- On GOG, the dev uploads the patch, and then before it's released to users it will be tested by GOG.

On this note, I can understand a delay of 1-2 days max. More than 1 week is completely unacceptable when the competition doesn't delay releases at all.

I'll be wary of buying anything from GOG from now on which isn't CDPR-related. And maybe not even CDPR-related.
September 22, still nothing. No patch, no Tome DLC, no Linux version, NOTHING.

This is beyond ridicolous. GOG doesn't give a f***, Haemimont the same. I guess GOG clients are less important than Steam ones, eh?

Did someone actually got in touch with Haemimont to tell them how pissed we are with GoG update schedule? I've sent a request to GoG and am still waiting to hear back from them... Like you said, this is ridiculous :(

No I didn't. But the fact that the devs are VERY active on the Steam forums but not here (almost not at all) is pissing me a lot, and speaks volumes about their different attitude towards different platforms' clients. It's basic customer care.
