Was about to buy this for the extra items GOG claims their version has as well as the fully DRM free experience when I saw someone indicating the items are hidden behind the same call home DRM-like junk included in the Steam edition.
As far as I can tell this alos means the game does not have LAN support as, while the game can be run disconnected from the internet on Steam, you cannot multiplayer with anyone unless you contact their central server. Not contacting the central server gives an error & the ability to see games/friends online, even on the same network segment, is not available.
This was tested by using a software firewall to temporarily block all communications of Victor Vran.
Highly disappointed that GOG is using the same thing as it, very much so, tastes like DRM.

Good game but not sure I want to recommend buying, from anyone, now.

JunglePredator: Was about to buy this for the extra items GOG claims their version has as well as the fully DRM free experience .......
The requirement to create yet another account somewhere to play this in multiplayer turned me away from it, it is just another form of DRM in my book.

If this game has friends and games lookup/storage system then there is a very good chance that that means some sort of online account shit, which also in this day and age means no LAN support.

P.s. also too few equipment slots on the main character, imo not a proper ARPG.

They don't seem to exist anymore. Everything is mainstreamed or casualized.

I have high hopes for the spiritual successor to Sacred series: Unbended

Bad news is lack of decent funding but they seem to be dedicated and maybe that's a good thing: it will take time but it will be far better than crap we get nowadays like Sacred 3.
