Hi,

I have some problems with game launching. I try to play on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 with Intel HD 3000 / AMD Radeon HD 7470M on a board but always have an error (after intro):

*************** EXCEPTION CAUGHT ! ********************
ExceptionMessage = Error occured while Direct3D objects initialization.

Pl:
:ease set video configuration properly.

InitD3D -> lpDD.SetDisplayMode

Ac:
:tion not supported.
DDRVAl = Action not supported.

I tried to start game with Win95 support but with no luck.
What could lead to such problem?

It seems I've found solution. I simply used Config.exe, played a little with configurations and now I have no problems with game on any settings. Config.exe did some magic work )))
Hi, What changes did you make as I'm experiencing the same issue?

Many Thanks!

I'n having this issue too and Config.exe refuses to save any Video options changes (Audio options and Control options changes are saved). Every time I open Config.exe Video options they are reset to the defaults 640x480x16 bilinear 32

Actually I can't remember what I've exactly done. I selected lowest graphic options, started test scene. Then started game in windowed mode. And had no errors. After this I had no errors with any graphic options.

As for Config.exe, it always shows default options at startup. But changes affect game quality.

Thanks, will try windowed mode - I think that's the only thing I never attempted.
I have put a support ticket into GOG but not heard anything back since the game was released.

Guess patience may be the key here... ;)
I had the same problem with my CD-ROM copy patched to 2.1.
After some searching the internet I found this fix which worked for me.

Note: this was for my CD-ROM version on Windows 7 x64.
