Hey guys!

We're doing a game difficulty balance pass and we're interested in YOUR experience with the game. Here's a quick survey so we have a better picture of what you like / dislike about the game.

We appreciate any feedback you give us. Thank you!

Filled out the survey. :-)

It's pretty interesting that you make one on the difficulty because it's my main gripe with the game.

On one hand, individual battles were too easy to feel fun, on the other hand, because health is a limited resource, in the long run the game gets too hard because you just run out of repair kits and are stuck forever.

You said you tried to migitate the "dancing" issue by making monster attacks very hard to dodge, but at the same time, you still expect players to dance, because if you just tank all the damage you run out of resources even on easy difficulty.

I mean I got the Heavy Rig and skilled everything on defense, but still it wasn't enough to not run out of Repair Kits on easy, so what's the point of a defensive choice in the first place?

Hey Rya!

Yes, you still have to move and outmaneuver enemies, but that's not the same as abusing the side-stepping issue all real-time grid-based games suffer from. To an extent, you can do it in Vaporum too, but not that much.

Once fully invested into Armorer and Blocking with Heavy Rig, you should be able to facetank everything apart from the big powerful enemies. The point of that build is that you don't even have to bother with the small-mid enemies; they barely scratch you. The big ones, they can still hurt, so yeah, some movement is still necessary.
