As by http://wccftech.com/vanishing-ethan-carter-unreal-engine-4-ps4/ the PS4 version of TVoEC will use UE4. Do you guys think that we'll ever have a chance on ours to be UPGRADED? : D

According to the dev's response to a similar question on the Steam forums, we'll be getting a free upgrade to the UE4 engine when the time comes:

Hopefully there won't be any problems bringing the upgrade to GOG. I can't imagine why there would be.

Yes, I can confirm that you will receive a free upgrade to the new version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter on GOG if you already have it on GOG.
