I have a problem with the graphics of the game. I play under Win7 with a ATI 5980 graphics card.
It may sound strange, but there are flashing pixels in the trees - in certain regions, they are relatively few, so they were only a little bit irritating (at the beginning there are not many and when I first saw them, I thought them to be intended), but when I cross the reservoir dam, the trees on the other side are full of flickering red, white and dark lights in the trees of the forest on the other side. They are really extremely distracting and destroy the immersive experience completely for me. Does anybody have this problem too and knows a solution?
Did you try to update your graphic card drivers?

SWorD84: Did you try to update your graphic card drivers?
Everything up to date, no overheating of the graphics card, no overclocking either. There are two threads at the Steam-forum with the same problems.
I'm also getting this issue, and I also thought they were intentional at first. I checked one of the Steam threads and I suspect it might be an AMD issue. I have a Radeon HD 6990 and I haven't seen anyone with an nVidia card say the same thing yet.
I've tested different graphic modes: It seems to have to do with anti aliasing.
The only option without graphic problems seems to be FXAA. Under CSAA there are the flickering pixels in every configuration. Under MSAA the game crashes every time in my case...
It seems ATI AA needs to be patched in this game...
I'll play with FXAA until a bugfix arrives, at least there are no distractions.
I have the problem, too - red (also other colors, but mostly red) light flashes in foliage in the distance. I also first thought it was intentional, to create a more mysterious and creepier atmosphere, maybe a kind of flashback-thing the game pulls or related to the astronaut in the beginning, but obviously these are graphic bugs.
I play on an AMD Radeon HD 7870, problem appears with the latest drivers as well as Catalyst 13.4, with either MSAA, CSAA or Q CSAA. FXAA I can't tell about, because the quality of this anti-aliasing mode is too poor for my taste - I need a strong, good and reliable AA method since I play at a rather low resolution (1680x1050).

And I agree, the pixel flashes kind of destroy the atmosphere, or at least impair it :/

BTW, when will GOG users finally get the patch Steam users got a few hours after the release there? The update that fixes such important things as the mouse inversion problem, save system and other issues?

The devs said they uploaded it already: https://twitter.com/TheAstroCrew/status/516183837739843584
Thus, it's likely that we'll see them Monday.

Ah, great to hear, finally *phew*
Thanks a lot ChrisTX ;)
It's correct that FXAA isn't a beauty. I even suspect it doesn't work at all...
