The mechoes and weapon systems certainly look like old human designs that these Softies and Cryspos must've stolen the techs for. Eleepods still have very human looking hands (scratchers?). Any others? (though no spoilers, I've only starting playing this today!!!!!)
Did Earth itself suffer the same symbiotic fate? Or did we shut these passages down before these insectiod muties got there? Are any of the worlds in the game actually Earth, now renamed and utterly terraformed beyond recognition?
Edit : Ah I see that these "Softies" WERE the human colonists left behind after the warp passage to Earth managed to get shut off.
