It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I was able to get the launcher to run after installing libsdl2-net-2.0-0. However, now the game throws an error window with "CREATE/OPEN FAILURE" and then exits. This seems related to a thread regarding the Steam version:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/264080/discussions/0/3969311271661222641/

... but the GOG-created directory structure seems somewhat different (I tried making a few symlinks following OP's original steps, but no luck). Using vangers_1_45_44317.sh

Suggestions?

Also, would be good if the GOG installer checked for the required libSDL2 libraries ...

Thanks!

Can confirm on Fedora 34; but more worryingly is the dependency on libclunk which as far as I can tell, is a practically nonexistant library file.

Which according to the github page: Is literally just some specialist dead end audio library.

But on that note, one supposed an update could be formed by cloning and extracting the files according to the needs.
I have the same issue...
The same issue for me. Is it possible to ask GOG themselves about it?
copying all files from "game/data" to "game/bin/linux" worked for me. Now i can launch from "game/bin/linux/" with vangers64

Amazing!
Not that I expect an answer after a year and a half, but how in the world did you manage to figure that out?
