Since I got this game at the start of the current sale, I've been trying to download it, but failing. I've tried the GoG Downloader multiple times and I always get a checksum error on chunks 1, 2, or 3. I tried directly downloading it and it failed somewhere are the 3gb range for the first bin. I can't really use Galaxy for it since Galaxy gets stuff in its extracted form (at least for updates that I've seen).

I'm on a very slow connection and this is getting old. Just that 3gb took like 6 hours only for it to fail. Has anyone else seen this issue?:

yes i do. tried to download this several times, but there is always one or two of the bin-files corrupt. my internetconnection is not to bad, so maybe the problem is elsewhere.

i'll give it one more try and after that i will put the game one the "i'd like to play that, but..." heap. damn.

now ALL three are corrupt instead of just one. well, that sucks. big time. onward to contact the mighty support.....

I was having trouble with "server error" messages while using Galaxy.

Plan B was to use the Down Them All app to download the 4 parts. That worked. It resumed downloads if there was a connection drop.

NOW the only problem I am having is getting the game to start in Galaxy. It says I have to install it.
It IS installed. If I use it outside of Galaxy or through Steam, all is well...
i've tried to download these files again today. this time with DownThemAll.... again two files corrupt. this time number two and three. I'm pretty sure that this is not the internet connection. so this is a problem either with the files or the servers from GOG. The techies just send a "we've recieved your email"-answer. well, wait and see.

edit++++

also the files from Brütal Legend are corrupt.... hmmm. strange indeed. i'll try some other big downloads tomorrow....
we'll see...

Well, at least it's not me. That's something I guess. :p

I also tried getting Wing Commander: Secret Ops and that came up with the chunk error as well. This is pretty weird, considering that usually there seems to be little to no problems downloading files. Oh, and it also showed up in Dungeons 2: A Chance for Dragons, although I was able to directly download that with no problems, but I haven't installed it yet so who knows.
it's not getting any better: i tried to download Advent Rising and AGAIN one corrupt file. right now i'm downloading Hammerwatch, it' small just 212 MB. i hope that works.

IMO it's a problem with the big files, be it the downloder who's breaking the files or the files are corrupted on the servers. either way.... not good. this needs to be fixed.

*****edit*****

small files do not have the option to check their integrity.... and it seems they do not need that -> download is fine.

this is strange indeed.

*****edit2*****

still no reponse from the support.....

hmmm well,

support suggested installing galaxy. oh well, might as well try. i will report on this.
I finally managed to get it with the Downloader. I don't know what changed, but it completed. Haven't tried installing it yet to verify that it completely correctly though.

Now I'm getting errors on Chunk 245 for Van Helsing 3.
installed galaxy and it worked. it seems that the download-manager included in the program is far better.
looks a bit suspicious to me. if you need to use galaxy to download big files it's not optional anymore.....

well, at least i can play van helsing now.
