I understand the the UP comes with the gog download...but i cant find where
its not an option in the installer. its not in the download or installation folders

The basic version of the patch is preinstalled. You can start it from the game shortcut or the vanilla game from the legacy shortcut.

and the restorations?

oh and how do i get Beckett to teach me his discipline ?(wolf form right?)

The restorations are only in the plus version of the full Unoffiicial Patch which you can download from The Patches Scrolls site. Beckett can raise a discipline of yours later on but not when you first meet him, although you ask him about it...
