So I'm stuck on the boss at the end of the Silver mines in the first mission. I only have 2 half health elixers and 1 holy water. I use the holy water and my broad sword but always get killed after using both health exliers. I don't really understand how the combat works in these old style RPGs. Apart from standing there clicking on the enemy what can I do? Does getting a hit and then moving around help before trying the next help or what?

I always found Ahzra to be one of the more difficult fights in the game. Make sure you hit with the holy water as that will take a good bit from Ahzra's health (two holy waters are even better). I don't recall, but I think by that point you can go back and spend some of your experience points to level up a few of your combat stats. Dexterity will give you a better chance to hit, strength more damage.

Thanks for the response. I actuallly didn't consdier going back and leveling up a bit or stocking up on more supplies. I take it the eneimies won't respawn if I leave the mines and come back? I take it I'd have to go right back thorugh the mines to get out too - no short cuts or fast travel back then?...

I don't remember any enemies respawning in the game, so you should have a clear run back thru. Just to cut back the travel, you can open up the advancement window using the console. Just add -console to the end of the executable, and use the ~ key to open it, then type in advancement

Of course to get supplies you'd still have to go back to town unless you wanted to use other cheats. I believe there's a few paths that open up the further you get into the mines, but with the mines being so dark, it's easy to get turned around. Once you defeat Ahzra, a path opens up which leads very close to the exit.

If you are using the AoR mod, there will likely be respawning. Otherwise, not. As far as moving around in a fight, I don't remember.
