Can anyone share experiences of playing Redemption with any particular mods? Thoughts on playing it unmodded?

I'm surprised there's nothing here regarding mod discussion given all the threads for Bloodlines. What mod/patch suggestions do people have for a first play? Anything vital or just really good?

Redemption has a lot of issues with the AI control of your teammates and spell usage - the AOR mod fixes this and does a lot of other things like allowing the adjustment of spawn rate.
