Well, this question is quite unusual, but have hope that someone will know the answer :)

So, in intro we can see, that the first "part" of the game is set in Moravia in XII Century. As far as I know, Moravia is the part of today Czech Republic. Was there any episode in history of Moravia with "fighting with pagans" in this period, which could be the source of inspiration for the creators of this game? Because I guess, that the presence of the Crusaders here (in this period) is rather fictional, but what about "pagans aspect"?

Perhaps not - I believe there was a Moravian heresy at some point. Going on memory, though - always dangerous with me. I haven't actually played the game yet so I can't help you otherwise.

Egads - was I drunk!? :) - played the game a lot - just not recently.

Yeah; it has a medieval feel which was their goal - kind of like a lot of movies where the US cavalry has the wrong uniform for the time period, etc.

There's going to be a lot of inaccuracy when it comes to VTMR's version of history. Just take Vienna's Stephansdom for example which should not have existed in the current time frame. Also - Platemail.... There's a lot of advanced tech for the time period so the developers seem to have no historical knowledge when they built the game and Activision sure as hell didn't do any fact checks for them either.

But if you take it in context of an alternate reality known as The World of Darkness and a complete work of fiction then you might be able to get past these issues.
