Hello,

So always heard Vampire the Masquerade was a great RPG. Just bought it from gog and eager to try it out.

After reading this.

Seems like:

http://www.moddb.com/games/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines/downloads/true-patch-gold-final

Is the only one you need for a good bug free vanilla experience?

Unless someone recommends some other stuff?

No, the GOG version already comes pre-patched with the basic Unofficial Patch if you start from the shortcut.
GOG version is all you need.

The TPG is more pure to the original game then the basic patch although both are excellent. If you're a purist, the TPG is still available but you have get a version of the game from GOG that they don't support that is patchless plus, if you have Win7 or Win8, you have to restore the ability shut down by a Windows update to the copy protection for it to work even though GOG versions have no copy protection. If you have Win10, while I'm told there's a theoretical way to make it work, Windows does not support the copy protection used by many games of that era so it cannot be restored and the game will not run. That's a lot of work. probably best to go as is.
