Unfortunately, installing AoR messes with widescreen fix for me on Win8.1. Followed this guide to install:
"Essential things to know and download" on Steam
Sorry I cannot link apparently because this is my first post and it wont let me post any links...
Tried the following (after installing game &1.1 patch):
- install AoR ->widescreen fix in this guide
- addwidescreen fix in this guide -> AoR
- Did the above but with Behar's widescreen fix
- Changing game FOV in hex edit has an effect, but changing cutscene FOVs does nothing
- Tried this version of the widescreen fix: from pcgamingwiki's vampire the masquarerade fov fix
- Changing camera distance (00 00 80 3F - taken from the link one up) did nothing
- Tried dgVoodoo2_73 and its different options including forcing or not forcing resolutions
- Tried the different combinations of the above
- I am on a 21:9 screen I tried all this on both my native and 16:9 ratios
I could achieve was a varying degree of people's heads being cut off in cutscenes - tested with the Gypsy woman's door. With Patch 1.1 + AoR + widescreen fix (from this guide), Christof's head is completely cut off, while with only Patch 1.1 + widescreen fix (from this guide), it looks normal.
The best I could ever get was seeing the lower end of Christof's chin, I forget which combination of the above achieved it but thats not good enough.
I'm almost giving up on the idea of playing the game with AoR at this point... but if anyone has any more ideas I could try, I'd be happy to hear!
