When I downloaded VtMB from GOG, I got 2 games on my computer. One on the hard drive and one in Galaxy. The question is if and when I get the patches, will both games get patched? The hard drive game, in Options under the gameplay tab it says "Game Mod Loader". There is no hot hand to activate (Win 7). In the Galaxy game in the same section, it says "9.7 Basic". Do I have to patch to Plus before I patch to 9.8 (wesp5)?

No, you don't have. When you download newest 9.8 Plus Patch it will automatically go to your game directory and replace older patch version. You can even choose what exactly do you want in this patch. But I don't use Galaxy, so I'm not sure how to operate with it.

To answer this - you definitely do not need to update to plus before updating to 9.8. If you download the latest version (currently 9.8), it includes both the basic and plus versions - just choose whichever one you want when you install it.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking wrt Galaxy - if you installed the game from Galaxy then it will be on your HD but Galaxy will recognise. You should be able to launch it from Galaxy or directly from the shortcut (which should be in the VtMB directory on your HD).

With the help from my freinds and other sites and YouTube, I did finally download the 9.8 Plus patch to my 9.7 Basic.The game on my desktop in the Options under the gameplay tab still says "Game Mod Loader". The game in Galaxy says "9.8 Plus". A Big Thanks to WESP5 for a beautiful job. There should be a step by step instructions somewhere to use Patches-Scrolls. A little side note about the icon on my desktop. The last few games that I downloaded from GOG, the box was marked. After the download I had to manually create a short cut.
